New Podcast Equipment

Hello All,

It’s tax season and, we here at Life on Fire have decided to invest in some new podcasting equipment.  We haven’t podcasted in a while and this is partially because the current microphones in our studio would pick up every noise in the room, including that of a toddler.  We have since ordered some Shure SM58 dynamic mics which should not only improve the overall vocal quality but, will also enable us to start producing shows again as they are less sensitive to outside interference.

We also will be getting a solid-state Roland R-05 portable audio recorder so that we are no longer recording into software, which can be a pain to set up and configure.

Hopefully, with a new site re-design and the new equipment, the Life on Fire podcast will live again.

There might be some other future surprises as well.
God Bless,

Chris, Tanya and Linus

Allie has Blog Fever…

For those of you who don’t know, I’m Allie, a good friend of Chris, Tanya & Linus. When the Life on Fire podcast first began, I was a frequent guest commentator on the show. As a full-time college student, I had my own brief segment entitled "Catholic Life on Campus." I recently dug up each of my CLoC blurbs from 2006 and posted them here as archives on the site. Feel free to take a look.
CLoC #1  ~  CLoC #2  ~  CLoC #3  ~  CLoC #4

Upon creating this version of the LOF website, Chris & Tanya graciously gave me a username and the ability to post blogs and content. I haven’t taken advantage of this opportunity in the past for whatever reason. But now I am itching to write and share my opinions and stories. The question is what exactly should I blog about? I am no longer living in a dorm so CLoC doesn’t really work at this point. A lot has changed in my life these past four years, some of which I may write about here. I can share the perspective of a single and/or dating Catholic woman, while Chris & Tanya talk about different faith & life experiences as a married couple and parents.

If there’s anything in particular you want me to address, feel free to comment below. Otherwise, I will blog on whatever happens to inspire me. I just ask you to pray that whatever I write, that I remain true to myself and true to the Lord and His teachings. Talk to you later & God Bless!

Sick, Sick, Sick

Hello all,

Sorry for the lack of a podcast episode over the past few weeks.  We actually were going to produce a new episode this week however, Linus has a cold and is “sharing the wealth” so to speak.

Tanya has fallen ill as well and Chris might have caught the bug too.  so, podcasting with a sick baby coughing and screaming because he is unhappy, doesn’t seem like a good option.

Everyone at Life on Fire would like to thank you all for your prayers and understanding.  We’d also like to thank all of our Facebook fans and for the audio feedback left by a listener is MA.  We’ll be playing this on the next episode.

Lastly, please check the Advent Calendar page at the top of the site.  This links to the Catholic Roundup Catholic New Media Advent Calendar .  There is a new surprise each day, including a surprise from Chris, Tanya and Linus on December 15th.

That is all for now.  Just a quick update to let everyone know how things are going and to assure you that there is no podfading…just sick people..

New Way To Interact With Us

Hey All,

There is yet another new way to interact with us to give us feedback or to simply share your news and views with us. If you look on our Interact page, there is now a link to our newly created Facebook Fan Site! We haven’t used Facebook in quite some time and Chris decided to update his Facebook after about a year and to create a new fan page for the show.

So, if you have a Facebook login, feel free to click the “Become a Fan” link on the interact page. Help us to grow our group of friends and to re-build the Life on Fire community!

God Bless,
Chris, Tanya and Linus

Explanation of Absense

Hey All,

Sorry for the lack of a show and/or a website update in the past few weeks.  We have been taking care of a sick family member as well as having new windows installed, a birthday party for Tanya and many, many other stressful things.  It has been pretty crazy the last month but, we are working hard to bring you another show soon.

Thank you for your prayers and support, as well as for sticking with us.  We truly appreciate all of you and thank God for you being a part of our lives.

God Bless,

Chris, Tanya and Linus
