A while back, I used to listen to a lot of podcasts. There were generally 2 types I subscribed to. Tech podcasts that keep me up to date on the latest geek trends, and faith podcasts to help sustain my faith and to help me learn new things about the Church.

In January I built a new computer, and up until now, I had not downloaded any new podcasts, or even plugged in my Ipod. Today, I finally got around to doing it.

I was able to migrate my playlists and music over from my old hard drive. (Details will be in a future technology post) I knew that some of the podcasts I used to listen to were gone, such as the Rosary Army Catholic podcast. However, I was pleased to find that Sirius/XM’s The Catholic Channel are now providing a Catholics Next Door podcast, which I quickly subscribed to.

I was able to listen to that and part of an episode of Catholic Family on the way to work. It was like I never stopped listening. The voices, the families the stories and the content, all waiting there like a good friend you haven’t spoken to in a long time.

I can’t wait to see what else there is to listen to, and to catch up with the lives of my favorite podcasters! It also makes me look forward to when Tanya and I will start podcasting again in the near future.
